May I introduce myself?

I was born on June 1^st 1979 in Herdecke and spent the first three years of my life in Wetter (Ruhr).

In the year 1982, my family and I moved to Watford, England, where we lived for 3 years.

Since 1985 I have been living in Wetter again, where I visited the primary school in the village of Wengern. After I had finished the "Abitur" at the local Geschwister-Scholl-Gymnasium, I attended the military service before studying mechanical engineering at the University of Bochum (Ruhr-Univerität Bochum).

I finished my diploma thesis about point of use water purification devices at the company of Vorwerk Elektrowerke GmbH & Co. KG on March 20^th 2006. Since then I have been working at Vorwerk in the research and developement department.

Privately I like doing sports, I am chairman of the Jusos Wetter (The youth organisation of the german political party SPD), I love playing the guitar and recently I enjoy scuba-diving.
