The
detonating gas test
Well, what we've got here are Hydrogen and Oxygen...
In the year 2004 during
my employment at the University of Bochum I got the chance to
handle a device which could separate water into hydrogen and
oxygen. The mixture of the elements, called detonation gas,
could be transferred back into water with a little spark of
initial energy.
The shown experiments
look quite dangerous, and they are dangerous.
The
people involved in the making of these Videos were a prospective
mechanical engineer, a prospective chief blaster of the german
armed forces, a prospective diploma chemist and a prospective
diploma Skilled Forest Worker. Meanwhile, all of us finished our
degrees successfully. We knew quite well what we were doing and
took the necessary precautions.
